Founded in 1987, James Sommerville, Inc. (JSI) started with a single truck and an unwavering dedication to general engineering contract work. Over the last 39 years, we have grown into one of California's most trusted class-A civil contractors, providing mass site work, precise asphalt pavement systems, and deep infrastructure utility routing.

Our family-owned business operates with a dedicated team of estimators, OSHA-certified operators, and high-performance company equipment. By maintaining complete ownership of our machines and training crews internally, we secure total control over quality, safety, and project schedule pacing.
